Sixth Journal Entry: Let the Maze Begin

Hikaru Harada:

Main character. She has lived on the streets of Twilight Town for most of her life (at least as much as she can remember). Hikaru was a thief using her keyblade Forgotten Memories until Masters Roxas and Sora took her in their care and trained her.

Chaos:

A mysterious boy wearing organization 13's old cloak whos lived with Master Eriquas as he trained. Very obidient, anything beyond that seems to be a mystery.

Hunter:

A young girl the same age as Hikaru. Like a nobody she seemed to appear in Castle Oblivion with only foggy memories slowly coming back to her. Tough and sturdy she has great power and a temper to match, but becomes extremely weak when near pure darkness.

Master Eriquas:

A legend in keyblade masters, his age seems to be near Master Yen Sid's. His keyblades power reaches far beyond Masters Roxas and Sora's.

Masters Roxas and Sora:

Both reaching their age of 20s they have worked together ever since teenage years. Not a lot of people know this but Roxas is Sora's nobody.

Faust:

A mysterious boy at the age of 13. Now realizing he used to be part of Organization 13 even more questions surface, but I guess questions can wait. But really what kind of other powers does he have up his sleves?

I try to slide and dodge the waves of darkness, that was the easy part. When coming in contact with the barrier I was sucked inside. When I was I looked around to see swarms of heartless everywhere, even in the air! And Hunter layed wear in the middle of it on the fountain's edge. I run through and grab Hunter. She was cold as ice. "Hunter!" So much stuff was happening it was hard to speak without yelling. "Hunter your gonna get an F- if you don't help me get you out of here!"

I placed her on my back and herd her mumble in my ear, "You think grades matter to me?"

"No of course not!" I smiled before running again. When I came in contact with the battier again it seemed to trigger something with the heartless like earlier they didn't even notice me. They try to grab Hunter and I but I managed to fall through. When I look up all the heartless start chasing us again while the waves of darkness were still active. I just kept running. I let the heartless grab and scratch me deep, I let the waves of darkness hit me and knock me off balance every now and then.

It felt like the door was miles away, even by the time I reached it. When I did Faust opened the door while Chaos was still yelling for me. Does time slow down inside this room? It doesn't matter, I ran in and hand Chaos Hunter's limp body. Apparently she fainted on the way through. "Hikaru!"

I turn to see Faust having trouble closing the door. I run over to help him close the door. Faust and I slide down the door as we tried to catch our breathe. I look at him from the corner of my eye. "Faust, you got cut."

Faust looks down at his arm and see's the cut. "Oh, I guess I did."

Chaos takes his necklace and gives it to Hunter to hold as she sleeps. "This will keep her stable...Hikaru are you able to walk?"

"After I drink this potion I'll be alright." I told him before drinking the only one I brought with me today.

"Good." He said before standing up. "Master's studies is too far on the other side of the castle so we need to get some medicine to help stabilize Hunter and Faust until we get them to the infirmary."

I stand up as well. "But what if the heartless break down the door or something?"

"They won't, look." Chaos starts walking towards me, then he reaches for the door to open it.

I grab his wrist. "Are you crazy!?"

"There not going to be there. Don't you trust me?"

"No." I said right away. "...But if a single heartless escapes it'll be on your head."

I let go of him as he nods. He opens the door and even walks in to look around. "No heartless."

"What!?" I open the door wider to see the room look completely normal. "I, don't understand."

Chaos explains. "This room is enchanted. A few rooms in Castle Oblivion are, but this one focas' on water. And when your reflection hits the water the magic is triggered to show the darkness in your heart. In this case it mirrored your hearts and formed the dark parts into heartless."

Faust sighed. "We have problems then."

I smiled a little. It's so true, I thought as Faust moved over to Hunter's side. "Go ahead and get the meds."

Chaos nods before walking away through the castle halls. I follow him closely. After some time passes he looks towards me. "Why did you come with me? Your hurt too."

"I guess, I just care enough for my friends." I told him.

"That doesn't mean you have to push yourself."

I look at him. "I guess you don't know how that works, after all I don't either."

"True. Hm. So you just care that much."

"Wouldn't you for your Master?" I asked him, but I let him think about this before I asked, "Where are we going?"

Chaos looks at me for a moment. "The library."

"Then let's get a move on." I made my pace faster then his so I would walk in front of him. I could have sworn though as I walked ahead I saw him smirk. "...Here it is. It's the only door in the castle that has a sign on it."

Chaos laughed before opening the door. "Yeah well, we're looking for a book that has blue pages and a white cover."

When we walk in I realize just how huge the place is. The ceiling reached to the castle roof with books and ladders all along the walls. To resemble the main floor, part of the wall was replaced with windows. "This place is huge!"

"I guess I kinda forgot how big this place was. I don't usually spend my time here..."

"Then let's start looking." And so the search began. There was no clock in the room, but looking outside from the window I could see we've spent too much time here. Just before I gave up I saw a book in the corner of my eye that was white. When I picked it up I noticed the blue pages. "Hey I think I found it."

"Really? That's great, I'll be right down just don't put it down." Chaos said as he starts climbing down from a tall ladder.

"You know just because it's a magic book doesn't mean it's gonna..." I start feeling something try to pull the book out of my hand. When I look down nothing was there, but I kept feeling something tug on the book. Just before I could grab it with both hands the book pulled itself out of my grip and started flying around the room. "Fly!?"

"Hikaru!" Chaos whined my name.

"I'm sorry I'll get it!" Chaos tried to catch it with his chains he summoned but he would start to lose balance and miss. As he continued to climb down I chased the book up a metal ladder against a wall. I lean against the bar at the top to try to reach the book, but it was just out of reach. Just in reaction, without thinking, I put my foot on the metal bar and jump to catch the book. I caught it, but now I have a bigger problem. I'm 20ft off the ground! I just hug the book close and yell, "Chaos help!"

I close my eyes and have my back face the floor. I herd Chaos grunt before feeling him catch me. When I open my eyes he's holding me on my lap. It looks like he slid on the floor just to reach me in time. I let out a sigh. "Thanks." I look up to see Chaos looking surprised.

"Why in the world did you do that!?" He yelled.

"I-" In the corner of my eye I see a familiar shadow near the library door. My eyes go wide as my cheeks turn red. "F-Faust!?"

Faust slowly pops his head out, smiling a devilish smile as he said "If you two wanted to be alone-"

"Don't finish that!" I yelled as I quickly got out of Chaos' lap and grip. "Why are you here anyway?"

"You guys were gone for a little longer then I thought you'd be, so I went looking for you." Faust told us before he closed the door.

"Don't close that!" Chaos yelled as he got up but it was too late.

"Why? What happens if he closed the door?" I asked him, noticing his face was slightly pink as well.

"I can't really explain it but the castle is kind of alive. If your connected to it the castle can speak to you and chance rooms and hallways." Chaos answered.

Faust speaks up. "...How long have you lived here?"

Chaos gave Faust a look I can't really explain, then he went to open the door. When Faust and I look through we saw "A pool!?" Faust and I said.

Chaos closed the door sighing. "See. Now you need to follow me and stay close. Still have that book?"

"Yup." I said showing it to him before we walked through the door to the pool. What have we gotten ourselves into?
